No drilling required if you use a standard mouth preserve jar like this – simply take out the removable centre from the preserve lid & use both of the lamp-holder rings provided to clamp either side & hold your lamp-holder in place. This is hands down –  the easiest way to make a light in a jam jar! The lid can be sanded by hand & spray painted with a universal, or metal paint if you wish tom change the colour. Giving you even more ways to be creative & have fun. The lids on the Kilner jars come in a gold-like colour.
