3X Red Dot Sight Magnifier with Flip to Side Mount, Fits 21mm Picatinny Rail

Well, this magnifier actually turned out to be great and at the price of around $80 you really can’t beat it! This magnifier offers excellent value for the money. It’s well made, feels solid, elevation and windage adjustments have a crisp click when adjusting. I bought the magnifier to match my recently obtained Vortex CF-RD2 red dot sight. It’s similarly built, though the overall style and turrets are different. But the height is perfectly matching so functionally it’s fine. I’d say that they look good and work very well together. Turrets on this magnifier are not covered by caps and can be adjusted with your bare fingers. But I would suggest for windage and elevation adjustments using a screwdriver or a coin, because they are a bit too stiff and too small. The flip base has a quick detach mount mechanism, which I really like compared to a fixed screw mount.It is fairly lightweight, about 325 grams, but it still feels heavy-duty and robust. All of these are under $80! The magnifier perfectly matches the red dot sight! I like that it flips to the right side as all other magnifiers I’ve got before are setup to flip on the right side. But I’ve seen magnifiers that flip on the left side and always hated it. By the way, you can’t change the flip side. While this is not a problem for me, if you like your magnifier on the left side, this one is not for you.Said all the good things about this magnifier, let’s move to complaints. The only thing that I would advise to change is to make it all-black. I don’t understand for what reason the manufacturer put two bright red rings on this magnifier. They have no purpose or meaning and only distract you. Besides this, it’s a very solid and well-built device.Other thoughts. As I said, I use this magnifier with Vortex red dot, and it matches its sight height perfectly, so you can pick and choose from any other brands to use with this magnifier just fine. Style is different though, so I usually prefer to pair red dots with a magnifier of the same brand for a perfect match. But for the magnifier I did not want to pay Vortex premium, and this magnifier comes with lifetime warranty just as Vortex. Kudos!*** TL;DR ***Yes, I would definitely recommend it to my friends at a shooting range. Putting aside the few complaints that will hopefully be resolved in future models, this is an amazing magnifier. For anyone looking to use a 3X magnifier to upgrade their AR – put this on your radar. It is very well designed and very well made. It’s very budget friendly and for the range of features and quality of its construction, I’d say it’s worth every penny. This magnifier is by far the best I’ve seen in this price range. Solid 5 stars in my book.
